Firsts

Hi! I’m glad you popped by my website.  This is my first blog post ever. I’m excited to let you get to know me a bit, while also feeling nervous and vulnerable at the same time. So, here I am trying to put into practice what I’d ask my clients to do, noticing and naming the feeling, normalizing it, and breathing through it. This feeling too shall pass. Here’s to this first!

Recently, I was interviewed alongside my boss and supervisor, Rhonda Myers, through a podcast hosted by our local chamber of commerce.  It’s been really cool to learn about local businesses in my community, and I am grateful for the opportunity to talk about our counseling practice and try to break down some of the myths about counseling.  I hope you’ll give it a listen and gain a sense of who I am as a therapist.

P.S. We were asked in the ice breaker of the podcast about our worst haircuts. Eek!  I’m not so sure I want to fully expose my awkwardest years to the internet…but if we eventually end up working together, feel free to ask and I’ll show you the pic.  Middle school was brutal at times, right?!
